Abrasive cold cutting
Abrasive Cold Cutting, also known as Abrasive Water Jet Cutting, is an advanced cutting process that uses ultra-high-pressure water combined with abrasive media to cut through steel and other materials safely and efficiently. Unlike conventional hot cutting methods, the process generates no heat or sparks, eliminating the risk of ignition and making it ideal for use in hazardous and potentially explosive environments.
The self-cooling nature of the water jet ensures that the material being cut remains unaffected by heat, preserving its structural integrity while providing a clean, accurate cut. This technology is widely used for precision cutting, maintenance work, and controlled demolition where traditional hot work is either unsafe or prohibited.
Total Blasting operates a range of specialised abrasive water jet cutting systems capable of delivering cutting pressures of up to 2,800 bar. Our equipment can be operated remotely, allowing safe cutting in confined spaces, hazardous areas, and other high-risk environments while minimising personnel exposure.
Whether the application involves offshore facilities, petrochemical plants, refineries, mining operations, power generation, or heavy industry, Total Blasting has the expertise and equipment to provide safe, efficient, and reliable cold cutting solutions tailored to your project requirements.
Total Blasting have a variety of cold cutting systems available for a variety of situations.
